Gustav Holst’s “The Planets” by Cornell University

If you like classical music, and in particular the Holst suite “The Planets,” then I encourage you to follow this link to the iTunes store. Cornell University has performed this music and made it available on iTunes free of charge.  I don’t know if this was a mistake or a limited time offer, but it’s worth checking it out.

I’ve only listened to the first few minutes of it, so I can’t make a judgment as to the quality. Frankly, I’m not qualified to critique classical music anyway, but to my tin ear, it sounds good. However, it’s only encoded at a bitrate of 48kbps so the actual recording quality could be better.

But it’s free. It’s hard to argue with that.  🙂
